Welcome to Core Connections

Core Connections provides an encouraging once a month forum where individuals newly diagnosed with MS and those living with MS can engage in conversation, receive information and connect with others who understand.

While we've got this disease, we also have a tremendous amount of experience living with it. For many of us, our quality of life today is far superior than what we had originally feared it would become.

And there is every possibility yours will be as well.

Announcements - September 5, 2007

I hope everyone had a safe, fun and healthy summer. It sure seemed to fly by quickly...

As many of you know, I have been looking around for a new meeting location ever since Newton Wellesley Hospital decided to close off the back parking area and make us pay for some space time. After much searching we have landed at the offices of Accelerated Cure Project www.acceleratedcure.org

I would personally and publicly like to thank Art Mellor, President and CEO of Accelerated Cure Project for offering us the meeting space each month. For those of you who don't know about Art and/or Accelerated Cure Project, please visit the link above. Art and his organization play a key role in the search for a cure for multiple sclerosis. His provision of meeting space for Core Connections completely typifies his organization's commitment to the MS community. I am very fortunate to have him as a friend.

Accelerated Cure Project is located in Waltham, north of Newton Wellesley Hospital ( 5-10 minutes from the hospital w/o traffic delay), off RT 128. I have provided the directions from the Accelerated Cure Project web site below. Since this is a secure office building after hours, someone will be in the lobby at 6:45pm to make sure you have access. If for some reason no one is there, or you arrive late (after 7:15pm) and can't get in, please call my cell phone (508) 380-7445 and I will meet you in the lobby.

I'm looking forward to this location change (it's been 5 years at NWH!) and to offering the group a greater variety of speakers and topics in the coming year. It has been, and continues to be, a privilege to meet with you each month.

Best regards,
Alan Weinberg
